This internship supports the team that manages these locations by participating in experience mapping, writing and updating supporting documentation for those with family history center, FamilySearch Center and FamilySearch Library callings, assisting directors of FamilySearch Libraries and Centers with system needs and clerical support, learning and applying the principles of spiritually centered family history.

 

This role should be approached each day with a heart for excellent service and willing ministry to subordinates and patrons of FamilySearch international.  Leadership and open communication is expected in each aspect of the work.  Must be willing to coach both good and poor performance and not shy away from difficult conversations.   

Responsibilities

-50% Writing and maintenance of the Family History Center Operations Guide.

-30% Assisting FSC and FSL directors with clerical needs.

-10% Strategy and enhancement of the FamilySearch Libraries and Centers experience mapping

-10% Personal and professional development

Qualifications

Intern should be currently seeking a bachelor’s or master’s degree or have obtained a bachelor’s or master’s degree within the last 12 months. Excellent oral, written, interpersonal and presentation skills.  Kind, patient, effective and joyful in serving others. Experience with FamilySearch, Family Tree, and Indexing is preferred, but not required. Must be reliable and able to work independently.

Worthiness Qualification

Must be a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and currently temple worthy.
