Purposes

This opportunity is focused on enabling newly qualified graduates by exposing them to various administrative tasks and functions including reviewing PEF loan applications and assisting with the application process. It also includes working with the Finance Department to prepare loans for disbursements. 

 The PEF Operations intern will assist in ensuring that the PEF initiative is effective throughout the Area.

Qualifications

Qualified with a Bachelor’s degree or a 3 year diploma in finance, accounting, commerce, administration or related within the past 2 years.

Excellent interpersonal skills and an ability to interact effectively with PEF participants and Church Leaders.

Intermediate computer proficiency in Microsoft programs: Excel, Word, Outlook and Access.

Efficient administrative skills and the ability to meet deadlines & complete/process tasks in a timely manner.

Must have strong attention to detail.

Must demonstrate high level of proactivity, initiative, creativity and the ability to manage multiple tasks.

Varied language proficiency advantageous  (IsiZulu, SeSotho, IsiXhosa, Portuguese).

Responsibilities

Assist with the PEF loan application and disbursement processes.

Make calls and minister to the needs of all PEF participants relating to re-payments (e.g. Debit Orders).

Help PEF participants resolve challenges relating to their studies and employment.

Respond to emails and text messages of PEF participants efficiently.

Assist where needed within the department with roles relating to the PEF Initiative.

Worthiness Qualification

Must be a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and currently temple worthy.
