Purposes

The Library Assistant provides complex administrative support to the Learning Resources Department of LDS Business College.  This is a part-time (20 hr/week), non-benefited position.  

Qualifications

  • Associate's degree from a regionally accredited institution OR equivalent experience
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills
  • Familiarity with MS Word and Excel
  • Proven attention to detail and excellent organization skills

Responsibilities

  1. Coordinate processing of new monographs and serials to ensure timely availability to students.
  2. Act as liaison to Harold B. Lee cataloging staff to ensure receipt and delivery of new materials.
  3. Collect statistical data about user services, instruction, collection use, sales, and other key measures to distribute to managers.
  4. Arrange and create displays to promote Learning Resources Department materials and services, course materials, academic programs, and retail merchandise.
  5. Support the management of the physical reserve collection to ensure that the appropriate materials are available each semester.

Worthiness Qualification

Must be a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and currently temple worthy.
