LDS Business College is seeking an adjunct (part-time) Interior Design instructor who can effectively teach industry-proven concepts and principles of interior design.  


  • Preference will be given to candidates with a Master's degree in a related field.  Candidates with a combination of a Bachelor's degree in a related field AND at least four years of relevant professional experience may be considered.  
  • Minimum of two years' worth of relevant professional experience designing in the residential and/or commercial industries
  • Knowledge and expertise in industry specific software (i.e. AutoCad, Revit, SketchUp Pro, CET Designer, etc.)
  • Membership in IIDA, ASID, AIA or IDEC
  • NCIDQ or NCARB certification is highly desirable
  • Excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communication


  1. Effectively teaches the assigned program objectives.  Uses the “College Learning Pattern” to teach relevant skills that have immediate practical application.  Initiates, facilitates, and moderates classroom discussions.
  2. Prepares course materials such as syllabi, homework assignments, and handouts.   Compiles, administers, evaluates, and grades student examinations, class work, assignments, and papers.   Maintains student attendance records, grades, and other required records.
  3. Mentors students as they determine career goals and seek academic advice.  Responds to student inquiries in a timely manner.

Worthiness Qualification

Must be a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and currently temple worthy.
